The Nonprof-IT program at UW-Milwaukee pairs students with a local nonprofit to support website updates, social media, and brand identity. I worked for the World Affairs Seminar (WAS), a nonprofit summer youth program that teaches leadership and diplomacy skills. My team was asked to design a new logo and build a new website for WAS. As the graphic designer, I took charge of creating the logo. Our client gave us complete creative freedom, so I was able to pick out color palettes and font choices, and develop a variety of concepts. This exploration is shown below, along with the top four concepts and the top five variations the client picked out. The final logo is shown next to the original logo. I was also responsible for creating a style guide for both the logo and website. This included sizing, color usage, icons, buttons, type treatments, custom HTML, and more.
